Is GC Detektive Scam?

GC Detective is back on the internet marketing radar. It is making the round on blogs and forums once again and as prove, we are writing about it too.

Anja actually started it here on outsourcing options dot com with her post "Google Cash Detective 2". Is it worth writing about GC Detective, I was asking myself...

I did some research to see what others had to say. It was really, really bad. I am not surprised that Anja did not go into details, it's not her style. Well let me tell you!

In 2007 Google Cash Detective 1.0 was launched and the 500 copies sold out fast. Nothing bad here, but lot of people who thought they have been "lucky" to get a copy, soon learned different.

People soon started to have all sorts of problems.

Google Cash Detective has been disabled by my host for “causing problems”. kevin (Jun 12, 2007)
Google cash detective is a scam. Thierry (Jul 26, 2007)
I have not had the user experience I had expected when I purchased the "Google Cash Detective". von Doane (June 24, 2007)

Things went wrong, terrible wrong for the people who bought Google Cash Detective and also for Chris Carpenter, the maker. But what Chris Carpenter had to say about it?

He admits there have been problems and things went wrong. He never thought the program would cause a massive amount of technical issues, when installed on individual computers and hosting servers. They had so many complains at once, it was not possible to keep up, but at the end they refund everyone.

Pooh - a nightmare. Can't imagine. But a lesson can be learned from it for everyone who ever plans to launch a product online.

The first launch of Google Cash Detective went terrible wrong. The product was not ready for the market. Fixes, technical issues and customer support shortcomings, only resulted in a refund for everyone. That was GC Detective. Now Google Cash Detective 2.0 strikes back!

According to my information GCDetective 2.0 is no more a standalone product to be installed. GCD is running on server clusters only and 300 beta testers had several month to explore any weekness and shortcoming. They offered a deal to the previous customers and got many of them to signup (hence the 300 beta testers) and everyone is very happy with the software, customer support and training videos.

Find out more on the Google Cash Detective 2.0 page. There is a good, short video.

There's an opt-in form on this page. If you opt in, you get several other new videos on how GC Detective works, but also some free training that you can put to use right away. Opt-in, check it out and if you don't like it opt-out. But make sure to take the free training !
